FIRST is a non-profit organization that educates the public and motivates youth to become interested about Science - Technology - Engineering - Mathematics (STEM) through the use of robots. There mission statement is as follows:
Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
Team 3812, Bits & Bots, is a five-year-old FRC team that is based in Longview, Washington. Currently, the team is operated through the Longview School District within Mark Morris High School; however, any student located in Cowlitz County is welcome to join. To learn more about us, click here.
