FRC has been noted as the     "Varsity Sport of the Mind" and   as such, is the highest level of the FIRST programs. Teams of high school students compete against others with 120lb robots designed to complete the game task. Examples of these games include playing basketball, stacking intertubes, and   playing ultimate frisbee.

FRC:

  • Grades 7-12

  • Over 2500 Teams Registered

  • Teams consist of anywhere from 5 to 40 Students

  • Design robots from scratch with the help of a starting kit of parts

  • Programmed with either C++, Java, or LabVIEW

  • Over 100 different competitions and championships to compete in

  • Compete with two random teams against a set of three random teams in a match

  • Upwards of 50 other teams in a competition

  • Multitude of awards and scholarships to be offered to teams and students

Team 3812, Bits & Bots, is a five-year-old FRC team that is based in Longview, Washington. Currently, the team is operated through the Longview School District within Mark Morris High School; however, any student located in Cowlitz County is welcome to join. To learn more about us, click here.
